Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Regional Facades Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding the client base to meet Wells sales goals for facades building and construction solutions; collaborating with clients and internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive Wells experiences as well as successful project execution. This position will report to the Vice President of Facades.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business development and sales efforts to identify market opportunities for facades building solutions by highlighting Wells' capabilities and expertise for Owners, Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, and other decision makers.
- Lead design-build preconstruction efforts for facade projects including facilitating meetings to drive value, exploring, and expanding Wells scope of work and evaluating value engineering opportunities.
- Creating and managing budgets and schedules, evaluation of building systems throughout the sales and design process to find the best value solution, constructability review of drawings, effectively analyzing all design documents to estimate cost implications and risk analysis, provide multiple stage estimates from concept to construction documents.
- Assists in establishing strategic plans, sales targets, and competitive analyses. Offer thought leadership and competitive market awareness to recognize and anticipate the evolution of client needs.
- Be a leader within the design and construction community, including active industry association involvement.
- Negotiate business and legal provisions of construction contracts for facade sales.
- Lead the transition of the preconstruction and sales process to construction execution including organized estimate and design document handoff, continual partnering with project execution team and project award, summarizing for project execution team, periodic follow-ups with team to harvest cost intelligence and continually improvement.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, or related degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of construction sales experience or related sales or business development expertise.
- Travel expectation 40-50%
- Understand local construction markets and have advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, building types, estimating, scheduling, cost control and material pricing.
- Proven successful management of sales with a profitable book of work in the building industry.
- Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and personnel from various backgrounds.
- Must be able to lead a team with respect and dignity.
- Must be able to actively listen and participate in meetings learning client needs and wants.
- Ability to persuade and influence others.
- Must be motivated and self-driven to complete a task.
- Knowledge of the building and construction process from start to finish to determine optimal project execution and sales process for individual client needs.
- Ability to organize and establish priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM systems and other computer software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Possession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
- Visual acuity and ability to read small print.
- Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment.
- Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Minimal risk of exposure to unusual elements.
- Minimal risk of safety precautions.
- General office environment.
- Intermittent field / jobsite visits will require safety precautions, which may coincide with exposure to harsh weather.
